Yoo Jae-suk welcomed his junior colleague, Heo Kyung-hwan.
The SBS variety show ‘Running Man’ that aired on the 30th featured a Tongyeong special, setting off on a one-night, two-day romantic trip, with comedian Heo Kyung-hwan, a native of Tongyeong, joining as a guest.
That day, introducing Heo Kyung-hwan, Yoo Jae-suk said, “I’ve been seeing this guy every week lately.”
The members visited a haenyeo restaurant on Yukjido in Tongyeong, ordered rock sea squirts, seafood ramyeon, and raw mackerel, and waited for the food. Yoo Jae-suk said, “Kyung-hwan is my junior colleague at KBS,” and continued, “We first met while filming X-Man. He came before taking the comedian exam and did a test.”
When asked what it was like back then, Yoo Jae-suk quipped, “It was a long time ago, but Kyung-hwan seemed like he would have a hard time.” Heo Kyung-hwan recalled, “He told me not to give up even if it didn’t work out this time,” adding, “When you suddenly swing the door open and walk in, the senior gets even more nervous, so that’s how it was then.”
As if he had been waiting for Heo Kyung-hwan to finish, the PD proceeded with a “Yes,” and the members burst into laughter, saying, “He was just waiting for Kyung-hwan to finish speaking.”
