Actor Park Si-Hoo, embroiled in controversy over an expose about arranging an affair, will meet fans at a film event.
On the 3rd, Park Si-Hoo will hold an overseas fan event at an undisclosed location in Seoul to mark the unveiling of the film ‘Sineui Akdan’. The event was reportedly organized at his wish to show the new work to fans ahead of its official release.
He plans to connect with fans through various programs, including a fan signing session and commemorative photo shoots.
A representative of his agency said, “As this is a return to the big screen after a long time, Park Si-Hoo is putting a great deal of care into his first meeting with overseas fans” and described it as, “It will be a time to show fans his bold acting transformation in the film first and to communicate with them”.
Ahead of his first return to the big screen in 10 years, Park Si-Hoo recently became the subject of controversy amid allegations that he arranged an extramarital affair. The case began when A unlawfully entered the house of her ex-husband, from whom she is divorced, stole a mobile phone, and edited and exposed private chat records and photo files in it.
Representatives for Park Si-Hoo denied this and filed a complaint against A for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, and a police investigation is underway.
In 2021, Park Si-Hoo finished filming a Korean drama of the same name, a remake of the American series ‘The Mentalist’, and it is reportedly awaiting release.
The film ‘Sineui Akdan’, in which Park Si-Hoo appears, portrays a commotion that unfolds when an officer in the North Korean security department organizes a fake praise troupe to earn foreign currency. In the film opening on the 31st, Park Si-Hoo plays Park Gyo-sun, a North Korean army officer who is cool-headed yet human.
