The ‘all-rounder band’ Ghost Bookstore has signed an exclusive contract with tapes, a label under the comprehensive entertainment company Mound Media.
tapes said, “We are very pleased to have signed an exclusive contract with Ghost Bookstore. Based on the musical capabilities and individuality the band has built, we will actively support them so they can continue to present music that naturally permeates the emotions of the public and everyday life.”
Ghost Bookstore is a four-piece band composed of Kim Su (vocals, guitar), Kim Ymir (vocals, bass), Didi (guitar), and Kang Daniel (drums). Embracing an identity that seeks a sound both solid and delicate, the band aims for music that can shatter like glass yet feels like a warm sweater that blocks a cold wind.
Beginning with the 2024 digital single ‘Children Through Whom the Blood of Stars Flows’, Ghost Bookstore drew the attention of music fans by presenting music that fuses diverse genres such as shoegaze, post-rock, modern rock, math rock, and garage, along with literary lyrics.
In particular, as an ‘all-rounder band’ that not only performs but also writes lyrics and composes, the group has been highly active, releasing five singles and one EP over the past year.
In addition, alongside solo concerts, Ghost Bookstore has been broadening its scope into areas such as editorial shoots. Through the ‘Ghost Bookstore Solo Concert ‘Campfire and Ghosts’’ held on the 1st, the band drew audiences in with meticulous songwriting and lyrical performances. Furthermore, on the 31st, Ghost Bookstore will also take part in the music festival ‘Countdown Fantasy 2025-2026 (COUNTDOWN FANTASY 2025-2026)’, set to heat up the year-end stage.
Meanwhile, tapes, the label under Mound Media to which Ghost Bookstore belongs, is a collective of diverse creators including bands, singer-songwriters, and visual artists. Under the motto ‘Different content leaves its own trace on people’, it is leading experimental content and artistic expansion for a new generation, centered on music, performances, and exhibitions.
