MBN·Channel S ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3’

Ha Jung-woo and Kim Dong-wook are making their first attempt at a mukbang variety show through ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3’.

In episode 8 of the full-on real street-eating “eatcumentary” ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3’ (co-produced by MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband), airing Friday the 5th at 9:10 p.m., Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) set out on a very special ‘Seoul at Night’ food trip with ‘top-tier food friends’ Ha Jung-woo and Kim Dong-wook.

That day, appearing at Namsan in Seoul, Jeon Hyun-moo threw oddly over-the-top hints that flustered Kwak Tube, saying, “Today, the ‘food friends’ are coming right out,” and “One is a ‘100-million actor,’ the other is a ‘prince’!” At the same time, as Kim Dong-wook was heading to meet the ‘food bros,’ he said, “I have never done anything like this. I didn’t expect my first variety show to be with you,” excited, while Ha Jung-woo, in his characteristically low, even voice, calmly asked, “Did you eat before coming?”, sending the scene into laughter. Right after, Kim Dong-wook replied, “I didn’t eat a single meal beforehand,” and Ha Jung-woo shot back, “I ate in the morning with (Gong) Hyo-jin,” drawing laughs while also showing off his ‘actor circle’ connections.

At that moment, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube appeared from afar, and seeing Kwak Tube wearing an eye mask, Ha Jung-woo sympathized, saying, “You’re struggling with your eyes covered.” By contrast, Kim Dong-wook delivered a deadpan zinger: “Looks like a (’90s) H.O.T. fashion…” As the seemingly trivial yet deadly banter of Korea’s leading actors brought gentle smiles, Kwak Tube greeted them, saying, “Nice to meet you. Mr. Oh Dal-su, Mr. Lee Jung-jae!”, leaving Ha Jung-woo and Kim Dong-wook bewildered. Then, after taking off the eye mask, Kwak Tube, his face bright red, kept repeating, “I’m sorry.” Amid the chaotic chemistry, Jeon Hyun-moo asked, “What would you like to eat?” Ha Jung-woo pinpointed specific dishes: “For me, crisp bulgogi? Eobok jangban?”, drawing Jeon Hyun-moo’s admiration and laughter: “It’s my first time seeing someone this detailed.”

Even before things officially kicked off, the four heated up the mood, then headed to Namdaemun to begin a ‘night of the merchants’ hunt for great eats. Their food trip, with chemistry that seemed calm yet burst forth endlessly to moisten ‘Seoul’s night,’ can be seen in episode 8 of MBN·Channel S’s ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,’ airing Friday the 5th at 9:10 p.m.
