Seo Dong-joo, daughter of TV personality Seo Jung-hee and a U.S. attorney, verified her alma maters and occupation.
On the 2nd, the YouTube channel ‘Tto.Do.Dong by Seo Dong-joo’ uploaded a video titled ‘The Reason There Is No Off-the-Clock Even After Work’.
On that day, after revealing her night routine following the shoot, she said, “I am going to get back to work because I am still doing attorney work. After coming to Korea, I have been doing broadcasting, writing, working as an artist who paints, and also running a beauty business,” and, “people were curious whether I quit legal work to do all that or, if I still do it, why I do it. They asked whether I do that work even though my main job is attorney,” addressing speculation about her occupation.
She explained her current job: “First, it is not a U.S. company but a Korean company in Busan. I am an affiliated attorney who works only for that company. The CEO gave me the title of director. It is CLO,” and, “because that sounds too grand, I do not call it director; I say legal advisor or in-house attorney. I do have an owner mindset, but you can think of me as in-house counsel.”
Saying she is currently working on UN collaboration, Seo went further and even verified her college diplomas. She said, “It is my first time showing documents, so people may not have believed that I am an attorney,” and took down diplomas hanging on one side of her home.
Holding the diplomas herself, Seo said, “This is my MIT diploma, right; I graduated in mathematics,” then, keeping the momentum, also verified her Wharton School master degree diploma. Lastly, Seo said there is a site where U.S. attorneys can be checked and provided a screenshot as verification.
Meanwhile, Seo is the daughter of the late Seo Se-won and TV personality Seo Jung-hee. She married a Korean American in 2010 but divorced in 2014. This past June, she remarried an entertainment industry professional.
