Comedian Park Na-rae

As allegations that comedian Park Na-rae engaged in ‘gapjil’ toward her managers have emerged and caused a stir, Park Na-rae’s side has not issued an official statement.

On the 4th, a representative of Park Na-rae’s agency told the press, regarding the controversy that managers raised power-abuse allegations and applied for a provisional attachment of real estate, that they are “in discussions with a law firm” and would state their position later.

That day, entertainment outlet Dispatch reported that Park Na-rae’s former managers said they suffered verbal abuse, bodily injury, and harassment from her, announced a plan to file a damages lawsuit, and applied to the Seoul Western District Court for a provisional attachment of real estate.

After these allegations were raised, it also became known that Npark, Park Na-rae’s one-person agency, was not registered as a popular culture and arts planning business.

Park Na-rae, who debuted as a comedian through KBS’s 21st open recruitment, won the Grand Prize (Daesang) at the 2019 MBC Entertainment Awards, and the following year won the Best Female Variety award in the TV category at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
