Singer Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park) has donated $750,000 (1,000,000,000 KRW) for pediatric patients in Korea and abroad.

JYP Entertainment (JYP) announced on the 5th that on the 4th it held a donation presentation ceremony at its headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, for support of medical expenses for vulnerable groups in Korea and abroad. Since 2022, Park has contributed $750,000 (1,000,000,000 KRW) of personal funds for four consecutive years. His cumulative personal donations total $3,000,000 (4,000,000,000 KRW).

The funds will be distributed as $150,000 (200,000,000 KRW) each to Gachon University Gil Medical Center, Konyang University Hospital, and Seoul National University Children's Hospital. World Vision will receive $300,000 (400,000,000 KRW). This will be used for medical expenses for pediatric patients overseas, including Mexico, Brazil, Thailand, and Indonesia, and for disaster recovery.

At the ceremony, Park said, “As the father of two daughters, my feelings have deepened.” He added, “I hope the donations are used transparently.”

Since 2020, JYP has been carrying out its ‘EDM(Every Dream Matters!)’ social contribution activities. Through initiatives such as medical expense support, it has donated a total of $5,940,000 (7,920,000,000 KRW) to date. The number of children supported exceeds 3,000.
