The legal representative of the bereaved family of Kim Sae-ron released additional forensic materials.

Attorney Bu Ji-seok of Buyu Law Firm, the legal representative for the bereaved family of Kim Sae-ron, issued a statement on the 5th, saying, “After disclosing data extracted from the forensics, a small number of people suggested that the other party in the conversation might not be actor Kim Soo-hyun, so to put an end to the controversy, we are again releasing additional materials to the minimum extent.”

According to the forensic materials disclosed to the family, Kim Soo-hyun (last digits of mobile phone number ‘9859’) during his military service explained to the late Kim Sae-ron why he bought an iPod, saying ‘Disciplinary action for bringing in Kim Soo-hyun’s iPod’ ‘It will make the news’ ‘Thinking of trying a thrilling military life’ ‘If I get caught, disciplinary action.’ In response, Kim Sae-ron replied with ‘Yes♡’ and ‘Well done♡.’

The conversation took place on June 18, 2018, when the late Kim Sae-ron was 18 and Kim Soo-hyun was 30. Kim Soo-hyun enlisted in October 2017 and was discharged in July 2019.

The family added, “The late Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun met at Kim Soo-hyun’s home on June 20, 2018, ate dakdoritang, and recorded the video,” and continued, “A fabrication frame is also being imposed on this video, so we are releasing photos taken that day and KakaoTalk chat logs.”

Previously, photos and allegations emerged that while on military leave, Kim Soo-hyun invited the late Kim Sae-ron to his home and went on a date while eating dakdoritang and drinking soju, and the materials released by the family this time support this.

At the time, Kim Soo-hyun’s side said, “(The photo) the location is the Seongsu-dong apartment where Kim Soo-hyun lives with his family,” and added, “The late Kim Sae-ron came over during Kim Soo-hyun’s leave, and Kim Soo-hyun’s family was also there. The two were not in a romantic relationship at the time.”

According to the family’s forensic data, after sending a photo to the late Kim Sae-ron, Kim Soo-hyun said, ‘I arrived,’ and the late Kim Sae-ron said, ‘Shall I come? To Seoul Forest’ and ‘If I go, it will likely be 9 o’clock.’

There was also an indication that the late Kim Sae-ron cooked dakdoritang for Kim Soo-hyun. Kim Soo-hyun said, ‘Yes, I have the tools,’ and the deceased asked, ‘Do you have a knife?’ Kim Soo-hyun expressed his feelings by saying, ‘Good’ and ‘I want to see you soon.’

The family said, “All electronic devices, including Kim Sae-ron’s mobile phone, were submitted to the investigative authorities, and we faithfully cooperated with the investigation,” adding, “The evidence disclosed through press materials was extracted from the forensic analysis of the deceased’s mobile phone, has already been submitted to the investigative authorities, and we emphasize once again that there has been no falsification or tampering.”

They also said, “We hope Kim Soo-hyun’s side will stop insulting the bereaved family of Kim Sae-ron and will not impose a fabrication frame.”
