Vocalist, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist (violin, cello, guitar), and 2024 Grammy winner Laufey released in the early hours of the 5th the music video for the classic carol “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” the latest track in her annually released Holiday Collection (a Christmas carol album project unveiled by adding one new single to the album each year).
The music of next-generation jazz diva Laufey has now settled in as a defining sound of the year-end season. The Holiday Collection project “A Very Laufey Holiday” began with the 2021 collaboration with dodie, “Love To Keep Me Warm,” continued with “The Christmas Waltz” in 2022, “Christmas Dreaming” in 2023, and last year’s release of “Santa Baby,” whose music video featured Bill Murray. This Holiday Collection project, which adds tracks every year, is expected to be completed one day as a ‘full album’.
Meanwhile, her August 2025 album “A Matter of Time” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Jazz Albums chart, and, following “Bewitched,” earned consecutive Grammy nominations for ‘Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album’.
Having recently wrapped the North American leg of her namesake tour (“A Matter of Time” Tour), Laufey will continue with U.K. and European dates through early 2026. Tickets for major shows such as London’s O2, Paris’s Adidas Arena, and Dublin’s 3Arena have already sold out.

Through pop music colored by jazz and classical, Laufey sings of love and self-discovery, captivating this era. She has become a bridge bringing the old music she lovesfrom Chet Baker to Carole King to Ravelto modern listeners, and through this has built a singular musical world known as “Laufey Land”.
Raised in Reykjavik and Washington, D.C., where she studied piano and cello as a child, Laufey later studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. There she released her debut EP “Typical of Me” (2021), and the title track “Street by Street” debuted at No. 1 on Iceland’s radio chart.
Since then she has amassed a total of 5 billion streams, 25 million social followers, the highest jazz LP debut in Spotify history (her previous album “Bewitched”), a Billboard Top 20 entry, numerous platinum certifications, selection to Forbes 30 Under 30, and recognition by TIME as one of the Women of the Year for 2025.
She has sold out performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, Crypto.com Arena, and London’s Royal Albert Hall; performed with the LA Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the China Philharmonic; and shared the stage with artists such as Noah Kahan, Hozier, Jon Batiste, and RAYE.
