KBS2 ‘Mr. House Husband Season 2’ broadcast capture

‘Mr. House Husband’ delivered laughs and touching moments with a customized filial-piety tour for Park Seo-jin’s trio of ladies and an unpredictable day for Lee Min-woo’s family ahead of childbirth.

On the KBS2 program ‘Mr. House Husband Season 2’ (hereinafter ‘Mr. House Husband’) that aired on the 6th, Park Seo-jin hosted a filial tour in Gumi for his own mother, Lee Min-woo’s mother, and Ji Sang-ryeol’s sister-in-law, and the story of Lee Min-woo’s family struggling for his wife ahead of delivery unfolded. The broadcast recorded a nationwide Nielsen Korea rating of 4.0%, and the scene of Park visiting Mount Geumosan with the ladies hit a peak of 5.5%.

Lee Min-woo and fromis_9’s Chaeyoung appeared as special guests. Park presented a diaper cake to Lee, who is about to welcome his second child, offering congratulations, and Lee shared the news that his wife’s delivery was imminent, saying, “I’m on standby 24 hours. Our second daughter is just about to be born,” revealing both nerves and excitement. Meanwhile, Eun Ji-won, who in the previous episode heard a fortune from a shaman that he would have a child within two to three years, drew attention by showing the side of a prospective doting girl dad, saying, “I want a daughter, too.”

In the following pre-recorded segment (VCR), a teaser of Park Seo-jin and the ‘Mr. House Husband’ production team in a thriller-like atmosphere piqued curiosity. Soon after, he was seen peacefully relaxing at the lodging, saying, “It’s like a day that’s a gift to myself. Next, Park and the ladies took a cable car up to Mount Geumosan, elevation 976m, and the ladies drew laughs by hugging and sticking close to Park, who has a fear of heights, to protect him. Throughout the hike, Park felt pressed for time by the last cable car, but watching the ladies linger to sightsee and unable to move on, he worried himself sick, once again offering laughs. Afterwards, for the ladies who declared they would voluntarily drop out, Park showed heartfelt filial devotion by setting off alone on the trail to bring back scenic photos for them.

While waiting for Seo-jin mid-hike, the ladies headed to a restaurant first, and Park rejoined them later, looking thoroughly exhausted after finishing the climb. He showed a sweet side by treating them to duck baeksuk as a restorative dish and even giving up the prized leg pieces. Watching this, Chaeyoung said, “I want to have a son like you,” making Park beam.

Meanwhile, amid a busy routine ahead of his wife’s delivery, Lee Min-woo invited ‘single mother by choice’ Sayuri and her five-year-old son Zen to his home. At their first meeting, Zen couldn’t take his eyes off Lee’s six-year-old daughter, radiating rosy ‘older-girl/younger-boy chemistry.’ Watching, Eun Ji-won asked Lee Yo-won, “How do you think your husband would feel if your daughter got a boyfriend?” and Lee replied, “He hates the very idea,” drawing laughter. Sayuri said that as a fellow single mom she felt a strong kinship with Lee’s wife and sent warm support to the couple ahead of the birth. Lee’s wife expressed gratitude, saying, “Even late at night, my husband cooks for me and takes good care of me,” and Lee showed the qualities of a perfect expectant father with adept swaddling skills.

Sayuri shared childbirth experiences with Lee’s mother and wife and even conducted a delivery rehearsal. In the process, Lee’s mother revealed that she said harsh words to her husband during labor, and Lee Yo-won also empathized, saying, “I didn’t actually curse, but the moment I saw his face, I did think, ‘Why do I have to go through this pain because of you?’” turning the scene into a sea of laughter.

While the children were out on the errand, Sayuri produced a live eel as a gift for Lee’s wife.
