Actor Kang Tae-oh has established himself as a scene-stealer who dominates the small screen with temperature-shifting performances that move between cold and hot.
In episodes 9 and 10 of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Moon Flows on the Igang’, which aired on the 5th and 6th, Kang Tae-oh took on the role of Lee Gang, the male lead who drives a wide-ranging narrative from romance to revenge, steering the flow of the story. With performances that move between warmth, cool-headedness, and poignancy depending on the situation, Kang Tae-oh perfectly realized Lee Gang's multilayered sides and led the narrative without a gap. Immersing himself deeply in the character's emotional arc, his acting at times delivered sweet flutter and at times dramatic shifts, maximizing immersion. Kang Tae-oh's expressiveness, which delicately captured emotions of different textures in every scene, clearly revealed the character's presence and left a strong impression on viewers.
From tender romance to the dramatic arc of Lee Gang confronting the truth and being wounded, he embraced the complex emotional line with stability. Meticulously depicting moment-to-moment emotional changes, Kang Tae-oh heightened the character's appeal and once again solidified his position as a trending actor on the small screen. Attention is focused on how the male lead Kang Tae-oh, who shoulders the center of the drama, will complete Lee Gang's colorful story.
