At the Melon Music Awards 2025 (MMA2025), vote for your ‘bias’.
Melon, the Kakao Entertainment music platform, announced that category voting for the ‘17th MMA’, which will be held at 5 p.m. on the 20th at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, will run until the 19th.
All tracks released from October 31, 2024 to November 19, 2025 were eligible for evaluation, and nominees were selected by aggregating track scores by category. The ‘Track Zero Choice’ category applied a separate evaluation period.
In the major award ‘Artist of the Year’ category, ten acts including G-Dragon, aespa, Jennie, Rose, Lim Young-woong, IVE, PLAVE, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, and NCT WISH have been nominated and will compete for the title of the most popular artist of this year.
In the ‘Album of the Year’ category, ten albums are nominated: BABYMONSTER ‘Drip’, Rose ‘Rosie’, PLAVE ‘Caligo Part 1’, IVE ‘IVE EMPATHY’(IVE EMPATHY), G-Dragon ‘Übermensch’(Übermensch), Jennie ‘Ruby’, RIIZE ‘Odyssey’, IU ‘Flower Bookmark Three’, SEVENTEEN ‘Heavy Birthday’, and Lim Young-woong ‘I Am Hero 2’. The recipient of the title of the album that lit up the year will be determined by fan voting.
In the ‘Best Song of the Year’ category, which selects the most popular track, the nominees awaiting votes from music fans include BABYMONSTER ‘Drip’, G-Dragon ‘Home Sweet Home’, Rose ‘Toxic Till the End’, BOYNEXTDOOR ‘I Love You Only Today’, Jo Jjaezeu ‘Do You Not Know’, IVE ‘Level Heart’, MAKTUB ‘Child of Beginning’, 10cm ‘May It Reach You’, Jennie ‘Like Jennie’, and Huntrix ‘Golden’.
In the ‘Rookie of the Year’ category, nominees include JAESSBEE, Jo Jjaezeu, Hearts2Hearts, KIKI, and All Day Project, who will vie for a once-in-a-lifetime honor.
Among the albums listed in Melon Hall of Fame ‘Millions Album’, a total of 26 acts, including G-Dragon, PLAVE, IVE, Rose, Jennie, RIIZE, and BOYNEXTDOOR, have been named as candidates for the ‘Millions TOP10’.
Voting will also be held for category best awards such as ‘Best Solo Female’, ‘Best Solo Male’, ‘Best Group Female’, ‘Best Group Male’, ‘Best OST’, and ‘Best Pop Artist’.
In the ‘Track Zero Choice’ category, one of the popularity awards, nominees include Han Roro ‘Running Through Time’, Sininryu ‘Head-on Breakthrough’, Effie ‘More Hyper’(More Hyper), and Baek Hyun-jin ‘Quince’. Indie music and artists that express their own genres and styles and contribute to the diversity of popular culture will share the joy of winning.
All Melon users can participate in MMA2025 category voting, and the check-in event is open only to members who hold a Melon pass and complete voting. If you vote for your favorite artist and complete the check-in, each day you will have chances to win instant prizes that change daily, including MMA invitations, a premium tea collection, ceramic wine glasses, a two-person cinema package, and a premium ice cream set.
In addition, members who complete the daily check-in will also receive an extra opportunity to enter for a bonus gift of MMA invitations (90 people, one ticket per person) available on the 14th.
