Comedian Hwang Je-sung mentioned an anecdote related to actor Lee Min-jung and her wealth during her school years.
On the 9th, the YouTube channel ‘Lee Min-jung MJ’ released a video titled “A trip down memory lane with my only celebrity friend from college, Jesung *Big Sis Min-jung… so they say”. Hwang Je-sung is from the Department of Acting in the College of Arts at Sungkyunkwan University (class of 2001) and is a classmate of Lee Min-jung.
In the video, the two met again at their alma mater, Sungkyunkwan University, for the first time in a while. Hwang elicited laughter, saying, “Like a folktale, nobody believed it when I said we were classmates.” Lee Min-jung explained, “We are going to start a campus tour now. Our campus is high up, so you have to take a bus.”

Meanwhile, Lee Min-jung graduated from Cheongdam Middle School and Hyundai High School, both famous as part of the Gangnam 8 School District. Both schools are known for having many children from conglomerate families enrolled.
