Mimi of the girl group OH MY GIRL was selected as the ‘Popular Star of the Year Chosen by Viewers’.

On the 9th, at the ‘30th Consumer Day KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards Ceremony’ held at the Korea Science and Technology Center (ST Center) in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Mimi won the ‘2025 Popular Star of the Year Award (Chosen by Viewers)’ for ‘Earth Arcade 3’.

The ‘30th Consumer Day KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards Ceremony’ is an awards ceremony that highlights winners from various sectors of the cultural industry who, over the past year, contributed to the development of popular culture and to improving consumer satisfaction, in commemoration of Consumer Day (December 3)’a statutory anniversary established to raise awareness of consumer rights and to enhance recognition of consumer protection; it is hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by KCA Korea Consumer Evaluation.

Having emerged as a secret weapon on variety shows through tvN ‘Earth Arcade’, which began in 2022 and aired through Season 3 this year, Mimi went on to win the Rookie Female Entertainer award at the ‘4th Blue Dragon Series Awards’ for ENA·STUDIO X+U ‘Gian Isseo’, and has proven her presence by working across a wide range of programs including tvN ‘Sixth Sense: City Tour’, Channel A ‘Heart Pairing’, MBC ‘Glad You Rested Well’, and SBS ‘Our Ballad’.

As this award was determined by viewer evaluations, it is all the more meaningful in that Mimi has been recognized not only as a variety blue-chip but also as a broadcaster loved by the public.

After receiving the award that day, Mimi said, “I consider it an honor just to be able to be here. I feel like I have received the love and support you give to Earth Arcade and to me, so I am happy and I really want to say thank you. Going forward, I will work to become Mimi who can give you even better energy in 2026.“ she shared her thoughts.

Mimi, who won the Popular Star of the Year award, plans to continue active activities through various programs.
