Entertainer Yoon Jung-soo spoke about Kim Soo-yong, who went into cardiac arrest for 20 minutes and made a miraculous recovery.

On the 10th, the YouTube channel ‘Sunpung Sunwoo Yong-yeo’ uploaded a video titled “A dizzying stroke.. Sunwoo Yong-yeo prepared a proper restorative meal for Yoon Jung-soo and Kim Kyung-ran, who saved a life (a full home-cooked spread)”.

In the video, Sunwoo Yong-yeo recalled how she had to halt her activities after showing symptoms of a cerebral infarction during a recording in August 2016. Kim Kyung-ran, who was filming with her, immediately noticed the initial symptomher speech becoming slurredduring their conversation and stopped the shoot.

Yoon Jung-soo said, “If you miss the golden window by just 30 minutes, oxygen to the brain is cut off. Her mouth looked abnormal, too,” stressing that Kim Kyung-ran’s swift judgment was decisive in protecting Sunwoo Yong-yeo’s health.

He continued, “But this is not someone else’s story. We are gradually reaching that age, too. Once you are in your 50s, if your luck is bad, it can hit you in an instant… That is what happened to Kim Soo-yong recently.”

On the 13th of last month, while filming a YouTube video in Gapyeong, Kim Soo-yong suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed. Paramedics who received the call began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as soon as they arrived on the scene, and he was immediately transported to a hospital for emergency treatment.

The myocardial infarction he experienced occurs when a coronary artery that supplies blood to the heart is rapidly blocked by a blood clot and the like, damaging heart tissue; it is known to present with crushing chest pain.

Recounting what happened, Yoon Jung-soo explained, “He was filming with Kim Sook and Lim Hyung-joon when the myocardial infarction struck. They inserted a stent to open it up, and Hyung-joon happened to have a pill on hand. Hyung-joon told Kim Sook, ‘Put it in his mouth,’ and kept performing CPR.”

He continued, “Kim Sook did not know exactly where to place the pill, so she put it under his tongue and let it dissolve. Lim Hyung-joon was doing CPR, and Kim Sook was holding his mouth open. Soo-yong joked, ‘I will sue you for breaking my ribs.’”

Kim Kyung-ran added, “The older you get, the more you need to make a point of spending time with others. You should not be alone when something like that happens.”
