Actor Ha Ji-Won has realized a capital gain of over 8.5 billion KRW from real estate.
According to the brokerage industry on the 11th, Hae and Dal Entertainment, for which Ha Ji-Won serves as representative, is said to have sold last month for 18.5 billion KRW a building in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, that it had purchased in March 2020 for 10 billion KRW.
The holding period was 5 years and 8 months, and the book capital gain was 8.5 billion KRW. Even after deducting various taxes and incidental costs arising from the transaction, the net profit is estimated to exceed 7 billion KRW.
The building sits on a 257㎡ site, with a total floor area of 998㎡, and has 1 basement level·8 above-ground floors. It is located a five-minute walk from Seongsu Station on Subway Line 2, and, positioned on the back street of Yeonmujang-gil, where the commercial area has grown rapidly in recent years, it is known for heavy foot traffic.
An optical shop occupies the first floor, and hair·makeup salons operate on the upper floors. Hae and Dal Entertainment’s office is also in this building.
At the time of Ha Ji-Won’s purchase, the building was a new build in its third year since completion. The industry estimates that about 3.1 billion KRW in cash, including incidental costs, was put in, and around 7.5 billion KRW was borrowed.
This year, Ha Ji-Won appeared in the film ‘Bigwang’, and since 2012 has run Hae and Dal Entertainment while also working as an affiliated actor.
