Singer Lee Chan-won has once again proven that he is ‘the trend’.
On the 19th, Lee Chan-won will appear on the KBS ‘2025 Song Festival Global Festival’ (hereinafter ‘2025 Song Festival’), and on the 20th on the ‘2025 KBS Entertainment Awards’, set to light up the small screen again this year-end. In particular, as Lee Chan-won serves as MC for the ‘KBS Entertainment Awards’ for the second consecutive year, expectations are high that he will once again demonstrate stable, seasoned hosting skills honed by experience.
Amid expectations of a busy broadcast schedule, Lee Chan-won will first head to the ‘2025 Song Festival’ for his main line of work. This year, with his second full-length album ‘Radiant’, he achieved three consecutive half-million sellers, and with the title track ‘For Some Reason Today’ he topped digital charts and music shows, achieving a new career high following the second mini album released last year, ‘bright;’ (Bright; Chan). Attention is on what kind of stage Lee Chan-won, who has raced through a busy second half of the year, will deliver at the ‘2025 Song Festival’ to close out the year on a high note.
At the ‘2025 KBS Entertainment Awards’ that follow, Lee Chan-won presence in the variety field stands out. He won the Grand Prize at the KBS Entertainment Awards last year, setting the record as the youngest ever male solo recipient. This year, beyond his work on KBS flagship variety programs ‘Immortal Songs’ and ‘Pyeonstorang’, he has also established himself as MC of ‘Secret of the Celebrity Soldier’, which was given a regular slot in September, serving as a central figure for both the cast and the program.
Beyond KBS variety programs, this year Lee Chan-won has served as MC of JTBC ‘Tokpawon 25:00’ and made welcome appearances on hit shows JTBC ‘Knowing Bros’ and tvN ‘Amazing Saturday’. From album success to popular programs, the momentum of Lee Chan-won in both music and variety is expected to continue beyond the year-end into 2026.
While visiting year-end broadcast schedules, Lee Chan-won is now gearing up for a national tour. He will meet fans at the Seoul concert ‘Changa : A Brilliant Day’, to be held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium from the 12th to the 14th.
