Singer Choi Baek-ho, a leading romanticist of the pop scene and the artist behind numerous classics, will hold a nationwide tour concert marking the 50th anniversary of his debut, ‘50 Years of Romance, Singing the Traces of Time’.
Through hit songs that have left a deep mark on the history of Korean popular music such as ‘About Romance’, ‘My Heart Lost Its Way’, ‘The Night Before Enlistment’, and ‘Friend of Yeongilman’, Choi Baek-ho has voiced the sentiment of the times. He will meet audiences starting at 6 p.m. on January 24, 2026, at the Sejong Center Grand Theater in Seoul, followed by major cities nationwide including Jeju and Busan.
The theme of this concert is ‘Those Days’. Looking back over his half-century musical life, it will vividly convey on stage a romantic sensibility that does not change with time. Audiences are expected to share memories and warm emotion from years past in a special experience.
Recently, Choi Baek-ho received renewed public attention through the SBS drama ‘Taxi Driver 3’ OST and the tvN drama ‘Pokssak Sok-assuda’ OST ‘To the Land of Hope’. His distinctively plain yet deeply resonant voice moves listeners across generations and proves that he remains an artist in full stride today.
Choi Baek-ho said, “Being able to sing on stage for 50 years was possible because there were audiences,” and added, “This performance is my ‘thank-you greeting’ and a stage prepared with the mindset of starting anew.”
The performance will be staged to encompass both the footprints of his 50-year musical journey and his present. Along with a special composition that brings the emotions from the dramas directly to the stage, video·archival images·film-textured lighting will blend to offer an emotional mood like watching a film.
In addition, the delicate playing of the Choi Baek-ho band that has been together for many years, with storytelling added, is expected to create an even deeper afterglow.
