SHINee member Onew distanced himself from suspicions linking him to Park Na-rae's ‘Jusaimo’.
Griffin Entertainment issued a statement on the 11th, saying “Onew first visited a hospital located in Sinsa-dong in April 2022 through an acquaintance's recommendation, where Mr. A (Jusaimo) worked, and given the hospital's scale at the time, it would have been difficult to recognize the medical-license controversy now being raised online.”
It added, “Onew's visit to the hospital was for skincare purposes, and the signed CD was merely an expression of gratitude for the treatment.”
Regarding indiscriminate speculation, the company said, “We regret that stories contrary to the facts are being indiscriminately amplified and reproduced,” and added, “We hope no further speculation arises, and we will continue to do our best to protect the artist's honor and rights.”
After posts related to Onew and others were found one after another on the Instagram account of Mr. A, who is known to have performed Park Na-rae's illegal medical procedures, suspicions arose that Onew had also received illegal medical treatment.
Mr. A is embroiled in allegations that, for Park Na-rae, he handed over without a prescription pills contained in the ‘bedtime meds’, including ○○○○ capsules (a psychoneurotic agent) and other tablets that were Rivotril, a clonazepam-class drug.
