‘Like a Dragon’ Toshihiro Nagoshi releases a teaser for his new action game
Ma Dong-seok expands to the global stage as the game’s lead

Ma Dong-seok has now made his mark on games, following film and variety shows.
On the 12th (Thursday, December 11 local time in the U.S.), at The Game Awards 2025, the teaser trailer for the new game ‘GANG OF DRAGON’, currently in development by Nagoshi Studio led by game creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, was unveiled for the first time.
‘GANG OF DRAGON’ is an action-adventure set in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, and Ma Dong-seok, who is making strides on the global stage, has been cast as Shin Ji-seong(Shin Ji-seong), an executive in a Korean-heritage mafia organization.
According to Nagoshi Studio, the protagonist ‘Shin Ji-seong’ is a character who, on the strength of overwhelming physicality, can wage battles using dynamic hand-to-hand combat as well as knife- and gun-based action, raising expectations for solid action worthy of the name Ma Dong-seok. It also offers spectacular gameplay that has you driving through the complex, vibrant streets of Shinjuku with exhilarating speed.
The scenario and overall direction of ‘GANG OF DRAGON’ are helmed by Japan’s star game creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, who created the famous ‘Like a Dragon’ franchise. Through the ‘Like a Dragon’ series, Nagoshi has portrayed numerous human dramas, and in the new game ‘GANG OF DRAGON’ he is set to showcase his unique sensibility and compelling characters.
Regarding the teaser reveal, Toshihiro Nagoshi said, “At last, being able to present ‘GANG OF DRAGON’ to you leaves me feeling a mix of relief and tension. This work fearlessly faces head-on the lives of outsiders who live in the very real district called ‘Kabukicho’. Everyone at the studio is putting their all into development to deliver to you new dramas of the people who live here. For reference, the teaser unveiled this time is only a very small part of GOD, so please look forward to much more to come.”
In addition to collaborating with Nagoshi Studio, Ma Dong-seok is currently filming Netflix’s ‘Taigo: Extraction’, and he also appears as the master on tvN and Disney+’s ‘I Am Boxer’, which he personally designed and produced, demonstrating his global influence not only through film but also via games and variety shows.
