Broadcaster Park Na-rae meets with ‘Sports Kyunghyang’ for an interview.
The former manager of broadcaster Park Na-rae claimed that Park Na-rae coerced them into illegal medical practices, including proxy prescriptions.
According to a Channel A report on the 12th, it was conveyed that Park Na-rae, via messages, told former manager A that if they did not provide the medication she requested, “this is also a form of artist care, so why do you not give it?” and “since you already gave it to me once, you cannot get away, and you might never be able to do this work again.”
A stated that on the 8th they filed a complaint with the police and submitted as evidence screenshots of messages showing that Park Na-rae had coerced them into illegal medical practices such as proxy prescriptions.
Channel A reported that “after receiving the former manager’s complaint, the police will question the parties involved and then review whether it is possible to additionally apply the charge of coercion to Park Na-rae.”
Meanwhile, following revelations of abuse of power by former managers on the 4th and as the controversy grew with allegations of illegal medical practices through an ‘injection aunt’, Park Na-rae stepped down from broadcasts such as MBC ‘I Live Alone’ and tvN ‘Amazing Saturday’ and announced a suspension of activities. Park Na-rae explained, “I decided to suspend broadcasting activities until everything is neatly resolved.”
