After a hiatus of two years and seven months, the group VERIVERY completely dispelled their ‘No. 1’ frustration.
On the 12th, on the ‘K-Chart’ for the second week of December (based on tallies from December 1-7) announced via the official website of KBS2 ‘Music Bank’, VERIVERY took first place with the title track ‘RED (Beggin’)’, recording a total of 6238 points from combined digital score, broadcast count, K-POP fan votes, album, and social media scores.
The title track ‘RED (Beggin’)’ from the fourth single album ‘Lost and Found(Lost and Found)’ is a song that interpolates the classic ‘Beggin’’ by The Four Seasons(The Four Seasons), reinterpreting a sensational hit that spans both earlier generations and the short-form generation in VERIVERY's own color. With a languid-mood intro and the ‘Please’ choreography that evokes a pleading pose, every section served as a killing part, and the stage, packed with VERIVERY's addictive appeal, was more than enough to captivate global fans.
That day, in line with the ‘2025 Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN’, ‘Music Bank’ was replaced by a special broadcast of the live performance of ‘Music Bank in Lisbon’. Announcing the No. 1 news without appearing on ‘Music Bank’, VERIVERY sang a celebratory song through a live broadcast, saying, “Breaking news. Today, VERIVERY took first place on ‘Music Bank’.” They also expressed gratitude to their fandom ‘VERRER’(VERRER), who waited a long time for their comeback, as well as to the agency, staff, and parents who supported their activities in many ways.
Because of ‘Music Bank’ not airing, VERIVERY unfolded a live performance to make up for not being able to show their first-place moment on stage, even presenting a No. 1 encore.
VERIVERY will appear on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’, which airs on the afternoon of the 13th. The youngest member, Kangmin, is set to serve as a special MC and is drawing expectations.
