WJSN’s Dayoung, who took first place on a music show with her first solo album released nine years after her debut, shared the efforts she put into her debut.

On the 335th episode of KBS 2TV variety show “The Boss Has Donkey Ears” (hereinafter “Sadangwi”), aired on the 14th, WJSN’s Dayoung appeared as a special MC.

Previously, on September 9, about nine years after her debut, Dayoung made her solo debut by releasing her first digital single album “gonna love me, right?”, and the title track “body” received love by ranking high on the music charts.

When MC Jun Hyun-moo said, “Didn’t you go to the U.S. yourself, make all the connections, and film it?”, Dayoung said, “I’m a J (planning type), so I wanted to have about 60% prepared and bring it, so I secretly started preparing,” conveying that she prepared the solo album without the company knowing.

Dayoung explained, “I said I wanted to take a vacation, went and made it, and took it to the CEO and asked, ‘What do you think?’, and he said, ‘This is it.’” Jun Hyun-moo was impressed by Dayoung’s effort, and Park Myung-soo also said, “I respect you even though you’re my junior.”

Meanwhile, Dayoung is said to have lost 12㎏ for her solo debut. Lamenting the side effects of a crash diet, Dayoung said, “Only my stomach was showing a lot, so lately I do just ab workouts for 8 minutes a day.”

Regarding her diet, she said, “For the first meal, I reduced the portion not by half but to one-eighth. For breakfast and lunch combined, it was one shake. I ran in the practice room every day and sang, and I sang while dancing. For late-night meals, I ate a protein shake or a salad. But doing that, my immunity really hit rock bottom. So I mixed lemon juice with water every day and drank it.”
