Singer MC Mong criticized the ‘culture of stepping down’ in the entertainment industry while referring to the recent controversies surrounding Park Na-rae, Jo Se-ho, and others.
On the 14th, MC Mong posted a long message on his Instagram, stating, “Public officials go to work the next day even when they cause trouble; I do not understand why people try to strip someone of a job for something that could be resolved by being scolded.”
He said, “Entertainers who are stepping down, if you did something wrong, do not hide; state your position honestly, and if there is something to be scolded for, take it head-on,” and he advised Park Na-rae, “Reach a sincere settlement with the managers. If there is something to apologize for, do so, and even if there is something you feel is unfair, organize only the facts and speak.”
He added, “If there is punishment for violating the medical law, then accept it. It is a difficult year-end for everyone, and no one is so idle as to hate Park Na-rae or Jo Se-ho,” and he urged, “Do not hide; be reprimanded for what deserves reprimand, and even later, do not ever hide like me and please make people laugh more.”
After the post drew attention, MC Mong set it to hidden.
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae has halted her broadcasting activities after former managers raised allegations including workplace harassment, proxy prescriptions, and non-payment of operating expenses. The former managers filed a complaint against Park Na-rae, and Park Na-rae in turn filed a counter-complaint accusing them of extortion.
Jo Se-ho stepped down from all programs after a rumor surfaced about ties with a group running an illegal gambling website. His agency denied the allegation, saying, “They are only acquaintances,” and announced plans for legal action.

You really go too far, reporter. You scrape together old broadcasts of Park Na-rae doing variety, laughing and saying it was good back then, then publish it as if it had predicted this, making fun of her; I cannot help but think that is not something a decent person would do.
I will not say who it was on Star King. A little fortune-teller who mistook me for someone else and threw a line at me ends up being treated as if he foretold the future and makes money, and the father of that kid came to the waiting room to say that it was actually someone else, that they had looked at the wrong person, and to ask for understanding because it was said as a joke. But that one thing makes it so that for someone, the pain keeps them from even getting up for years. Entertainers who are stepping down, please, if you did something wrong, do not hide; announce your position honestly, and if there is something to be scolded for, accept it cleanly.
Public officials go to work the next day even after causing trouble; by what right do people try to strip someone of the job over something that should be resolved by being scolded?
How is it that for Hyori and Yang Se-chan too, it was only something to be tossed as a private joke with Park Na-rae; why can they not speak and why must they tiptoe around?
Reach a sincere settlement with the managers
Even if there is something to apologize for, even if there is something you feel is unfair, it is already too late
They already seem to be pursuing a lawsuit worth hundreds of millions of won, and if there is punishment for violating the medical law, then accept it.
Organize your position; state only facts. The truth is, it is a hard year-end for everyone, and no one is free enough to hate Park Na-rae or Jo Se-ho. So do not hide; if there is something to be scolded for, be scolded, and even later, do not ever hide like me and please make people laugh more. The entertainment scene is also truly without loyalty.
