Comedian Kim Soo-yong looked back on the situation when he experienced a 20-minute cardiac arrest and revealed the conversation he had with the medical staff.
On the 14th, the YouTube channel ‘Jodongari’ released the first filming footage of Kim Soo-yong, who was dramatically brought back from the brink on November 14. In the video, Kim recalled the moment he regained consciousness in the intensive care unit and carefully shared his memories of that day.
Kim began by saying, “There was a moment when the doctors and nurses laughed because of me.” He explained, “I came to somewhere, maybe the ICU. That day was the first time I wore that jacket. I am not someone who likes expensive clothes, and I really cherished it, so it was the first or maybe the second time I had worn it.” In response, Ji Seok-jin chimed in, “It is a brand item, it is expensive.”

Kim said, “So as soon as I woke up, I asked, ‘Where is my jacket?’ When they said, ‘It is over there,’ I tried to get up to pick it up, but the medical staff urged me to lie still, saying, ‘Do not move.’” He added that, when he kept worrying about his clothes, they even asked back, “What is inside it?”
It turned out that the sleeve of the jacket had been cut with scissors. In the emergency, the staff had cut the garment to administer an injection quickly. When Kim kept bringing up the jacket, the staff reportedly comforted him, saying, “Clothes are not what matters right now. You nearly died and came back, so why worry about that?”
Meanwhile, on the 13th of last month in Gapyeong, Kim suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest while filming for YouTube. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was performed as soon as the rescue team arrived, and he was immediately transported to a hospital for emergency treatment.
The myocardial infarction he experienced is a condition in which a coronary artery that supplies blood to the heart is acutely blocked by a blood clot or other cause, damaging heart tissue. It is a dangerous disease that, along with severe chest pain, can lead to sudden cardiac arrest.
