Comedian Kim Su-Yong shared a lighthearted behind-the-scenes story that he once considered filing a lawsuit against actors Im Hyeong-Jun and Kim Sook, who saved his life.
On the 14th, the YouTube channel ‘Jodongari’ released the first filming video featuring Kim Su-Yong, who collapsed from cardiac arrest on November 14 and was dramatically resuscitated. In the video, Kim carefully opened up from the moment he regained consciousness in the intensive care unit to the follow-up anecdotes he heard from those around him.
Kim began, “I spoke with (Kim) Sook for the first time in a while.” Then Kim Yong-Man recounted the scene at the time, saying, “There are follow-up stories going around, right. Su-Yong survived, but talk emerged that the broken ribs during resuscitation mean a lawsuit is in order, so Im Hyeong-Jun was trembling.”
He continued joking, “There was even talk about how much to receive per rib, and there was talk about who grabbed the tongue. They said the heart seemed to be startled while trying to avoid the tongue, and we found the person who grabbed that tongue. It was Sook. But Sook kept denying it, saying she was not an accomplice.”

In response, Kim added to the laughter by saying, “I got a text from Im Hyeong-Jun. He said he had heard talk that I would sue over the rib injury and asked for leniency.” He went on, “And Kim Sook was the one who had the CPR carried out. So I said, ‘Okay, then I will sue only Kim Sook.’”
Meanwhile, on the 13th of last month in Gapyeong, Kim suddenly collapsed during a YouTube shoot and experienced cardiac arrest. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was performed as soon as the rescue team arrived, and he was immediately transported to a hospital and received emergency treatment.
The myocardial infarction he experienced is a condition in which a coronary artery becomes rapidly blocked by a thrombus, damaging heart tissue, a dangerous state that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest along with severe chest pain. Kim is currently recovering, and in the shoot that day he calmly shared his experience at the time, drawing support from many.
