The Presidential Office neither confirmed nor denied that the government is directly pushing to hold a K-pop concert in China.

On the 15th, the Presidential Office said, “With regard to reports that the government will hold a K-pop concert in China in early January, nothing has been finalized, so please be cautious in your reporting.”

According to Segye Ilbo that day, the Presidential Office recently asked HYBE, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment for cooperation regarding holding a K-pop concert in China. It is not yet in the finalized stage, but they are reviewing a push to hold a K-pop concert in China.
