Son Dong-woon, a member of the idol group Highlight, made memories with fans through his first solo concert in six years.
On the 13th and 14th, over two days, Son Dong-woon successfully held his 2025 solo concert ‘Ever+ (Ever+)’ at the Centennial Memorial Hall Concert Hall of Yonsei University in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
Becoming a ‘recorder’ who chronicles memories, he spent time sharing stories of the four seasons with fans. In addition to highly polished live stages, he read season-themed stories sent by fans and shared his own episodes, building deep rapport. Regarding the concert title, he explained, “Just as the seasons repeat, it contains the intention to keep building memories with you,” conveying warm sincerity to his fans.
The performance unfolded in sections for spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and with selections that captured the mood of each season, it allowed the audience to savor Son Dong-woon’s deep and rich sensibility. He first delivered a fresh, springlike energy with stages such as ‘Moderato (Moderato)’, ‘Today’s Weather (Today’s Weather)’, and ‘Letter (Letter)’. Then, timed to the summer that includes his birthday, he began with ‘Happy Birthday to Me (Happy Birthday to Me)’, followed by his self-written songs ‘Rainy Season (Rainy Season)’, ‘CRESCENDO (Crescendo)’, and ‘Surf (Surf)’, plus a cover of the Japanese song ‘Lemon (Lemon)’, offering a blissful treat for the ears.
In the autumn part, accompanied by piano, he performed ‘Be at Ease’ and, with his compelling voice, continued with ‘Today, Too’ and ‘Please’, coloring the venue. He then drew the audience into a romantic winter atmosphere with solo numbers such as ‘Scent of Winter’, ‘Natasha (Natasha)’, and ‘Dot’, along with the carols ‘The Christmas Song (The Christmas Song)’ and ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You (All I Want for Christmas Is You)’.
Son Dong-woon heightened immersion by varying outfits and production for each section. In the VCR, he deepened the resonance by portraying a recorder who captures moments through the medium of a camera. Fans responded by sharing the emotion with a slogan and mass sing-along event on the first day, and a slogan and video event on the second day.
Delivering his closing remark, “Just as, when winter passes, spring returns, I will come back to see you again,” Son Dong-woon left a lasting impression by singing the encore numbers ‘Color me (Color me)’, ‘Curtain Call (Curtain Call)’, and ‘Moderato’.
With ‘Ever+’, his first solo concert in about six years since 2019, when he presented ‘The Orchestra (The Orchestra)’, he achieved a complete sell-out, demonstrating strong ticket power as a solo artist following Highlight. After wrapping up the domestic performance, he will hold the solo concert ‘Ever+’ in Tokyo, Japan, on February 7 next year across two shows.
