Comedian Park Na-rae released a video statement regarding the ongoing controversy.
On the 16th, through the YouTube channel ‘Baek Eun-young's Golden Time’, she began by saying, “I am gravely accepting that the recent issues have caused many people concern and fatigue.”
She continued, regarding her decision to step down from a previously aired program, “I made that choice hoping no further confusion or burden would fall on the production staff and colleagues,” and stated, “As for the issues currently raised, there are parts where the facts must be calmly verified, so legal procedures are under way.”
She then conveyed the position, “I will not make additional public statements or explanations.” Park Na-rae said, “This matter is not a problem of personal feelings or relationships, but one that must be objectively confirmed through official procedures,” adding, “Although countless stories are circulating now, it is not my wish for someone else to be hurt or for this to spread into unnecessary arguments.”
Finally, she made her position clear: “For matters that require time, I will let the procedures proceed calmly. To avoid creating further controversy, I will not make related remarks after this video.”
Recently, allegations including power abuse raised by former managers led Park Na-rae to step down from the programs she had been appearing on and suspend all activities. She also said she had spoken with the former manager and reached an agreement, but the former manager refuted this and has continued making disclosures through the media.
The former manager filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station accusing Park Na-rae of special injury, defamation by stating false facts, and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation), while alleging workplace bullying, verbal abuse, special injury, proxy prescriptions, and non-payment of operating expenses. In addition, she was reported for violating the Medical Service Act over suspicions that she received an IV injection from a person without a medical license and obtained psychotropic medication that requires a specialist prescription.
On the 5th, Park Na-rae counterfiled, accusing the former managers who had submitted complaints of attempted extortion. That complaint is under investigation by the Yongsan Police Station.

Hello. This is comedian Park Na-rae.
I am taking seriously that the recently raised issues have caused many people concern and fatigue.
I voluntarily stepped down from all the programs I had been doing because of these issues. I made that choice hoping that no further confusion or burden would fall on the production staff and my colleagues. Regarding the issues currently raised, there are aspects where the facts need to be calmly checked, and legal procedures are under way.
In that process, I will not make additional public statements or explanations. I judge that this matter is not about personal feelings or relationships, but one that must be objectively verified through official procedures. This choice is not to blame someone or apportion responsibility, but to set things in order by leaving them to the procedures, excluding emotion and personal judgment.
Although countless stories are circulating now, it is not my wish for someone else to be hurt or for this to spread into unnecessary arguments. Therefore, for the time being I intend to stop all activities and take time to focus on resolving this matter.
I will reflect on my responsibilities and conduct in my place. For matters that require time, I will calmly leave them to the procedures. I am grateful to the many people who have cared for me, and to avoid creating further controversy, I will not make related remarks after this video. Thank you.
