Park Na-Rae. Capture from YouTube channel ‘Baek Eun-Young Golden Time’
Park Na-Rae turned on the camera herself and broke her silence. However, her position in that video did not offer specific clarifications about the current controversy. Moreover, she stated that this would be her final statement.
On the 16th, the YouTube channel ‘Baek Eun-Young Golden Time’ released a video titled “I do not want anyone to be hurt or unnecessary debate.”
In the video, Park Na-Rae said, “I am taking seriously that the recent issues have caused many people concern and fatigue,” and added, “Because of these matters, I voluntarily stepped down from all the programs I had been appearing on.” She continued, “I made that choice in the hope that no further confusion or burden would fall on the production staff and my colleagues.”
She also said regarding the issues currently raised, “There are parts of the facts that need to be calmly verified, so legal procedures are underway,” and added, “During that process, I will not make additional public remarks or explanations.” She emphasized, “I believe this is not a matter of personal feelings or relationships but something that should be verified objectively through official procedures.”
Finally, Park Na-Rae added, “This choice is not to blame someone or to apportion responsibility, but a decision to set aside emotions and personal judgment and leave it to procedure,” and, “After this video, I will not make further comments on the matter.”
However, Park Na-Rae’s latest statement did not differ greatly from the explanation she posted on her social media account on the 8th. She did not present a separate position on the key issues currently causing controversy, including allegations of power abuse toward her manager and the so-called ‘Injection Auntie’ illegal procedure controversy.
On this, some are reacting with, “It is questionable whether she needed to offer an additional statement at all,” while others defend Park Na-Rae, saying, “How wronged must she have felt to record a video herself to deliver her position?”
