Allegations of ‘manager power abuse’ surrounding broadcaster Park Na-rae have surfaced again.
On the 22nd, the YouTube channel ‘Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho’ uploaded a video containing expose-style content related to Park Na-rae. In the video, Lee Jin-ho raised the question, “Who made the food that appeared on the MBC variety show ‘I Live Alone’ (hereafter, ‘I Live Alone’)?“
Regarding the ‘big-batch cooking’ scenes featuring Park Na-rae, he said, “On the broadcast, there is only a scene of giving lunch boxes to Code Kunst and the cooking process does not appear, and there are accounts that managers made the lunch boxes.” He also presented claims that, for the pre-holiday jeon-frying scenes, managers joined from the day before on a one-night, two-day schedule, and that during the kimchi-making shoot, managers were in the back grinding glutinous rice paste and even handled purchasing ingredients such as radish·red pepper powder·garlic.

Lee Jin-ho cited ‘settlement’ and ‘salary’ issues as the background for former managers raising the matter. He said, “There are claims that cash expenses, such as valet fees and market errands, piled up every month but were not settled in a timely manner.”
He continued, “It is not that wages were not paid at all, but there were frequent cases of payment being made a day or two after payday.” He also added the claim that, noting Park Na-rae is a person of means, “there were remarks to the effect that it was not because there was no money.”
On December 4, Park Na-rae became embroiled in controversy after former managers raised allegations of ‘power abuse’. The former managers reportedly claimed they were continuously directed to handle private tasks such as side-dish errands and party cleanup, were asked to attend drinking gatherings, and were effectively forced to be on ‘24-hour standby’.
