Broadcaster Ahn Hyun-mo paid tribute to music critic Kim Young-dae, who passed away a few days ago.

On the 28th, Ahn Hyun-mo posted a long message on their social media (SNS) account. Ahn began, “I never imagined that a day would come when I would say this myself, much less that it would arrive this soon, but by now you must already have reached heaven and be eating something delicious, so even if it does not feel real, I should say it.”

Ahn remembered the deceased as “a wonderful, cheerful, and admirable friend who approached everyone they met with kindness and an open, unbiased mind, making the other person happy and comfortable,” and added that he was “a true family man who, following the Christmas tradition he kept every year, watched his favorite film, ‘Family Man,’ one last time with his beloved daughter and then closed his eyes.”

Ahn continued, “There was still so much you were going to show and tell us, but in heaven, surrounded by the people you had longed to see, please listen as much as you want to heavenly music we have never heard before, and when the day comes that we all meet again, chatter away and tell us everything.”

The death of music critic Kim Young-dae was reported on the 24th. An acquaintance of Kim conveyed the news through the SNS account of the deceased, and the specific cause has not been disclosed.

Ahn Hyun-mo also worked with the deceased by co-hosting live broadcasts of major overseas music award ceremonies such as the Billboard Music Awards and the American Music Awards.
