Actor Shin Soo-hyun captured viewers’ attention with her first performance as a villain.

Released on the 26th, the Netflix series ‘Cashero’ is a slice-of-life ‘my money, my power’ superhero tale that follows salaried worker Sang-ung (Lee Junho), who is struggling with wedding funds and housing prices, as he acquires a power that grows stronger in proportion to the cash in his hand and wavers between household expenses and superpowers.

Shin Soo-hyun plays Lee Soo-eun, an employee at a research institute. Once an ordinary researcher at Beomha Group, she is injected with a superpower-inducing drug in the latter part of the story and breaks out as a hidden villain.

Gifted with lightning-fast speed, nearly invisible to the eye, she uses this power to snatch Sang-ung (Lee Junho)’s clothes and wallet, trapping him, and, operating behind Jonathan (Lee Chae-min), steps in as a covert aide who blocks the heroes’ efforts, giving the latter half of the series added momentum.

Taking on her first villain role through ‘Cashero’, Shin Soo-hyun added depth with her signature cold expressions, devoid of any trace of humanity. In addition, her arc leaves a strong impression on ‘Cashero’, as she meets a tragic end at the hands of Jonathan, who had been an ally.

Having shown in one sweep the range from an ordinary office worker to a cool-headed villain who freely wields superpowers through ‘Cashero’, Shin Soo-hyun is currently appearing in the KBS2 weekend drama ‘Glamorous Days’ while simultaneously filming her next project. Even greater activity is anticipated in 2026.
