‘Jung Seung-je Boarding House’ previews a day where laughter and tension intermingle as it marks ‘Kimjang Day’.

The tcast E Channel variety program ‘Beating Life into Shape: Jung Seung-je Boarding House’ (hereafter ‘Jung Seung-je Boarding House’), airing at 8 p.m. on the 7th (Wed), will in episode 7 unveil the arrival of new boarders with unexpected charms and the ‘Kimjang Day’ scene that set the house abuzz.

That day, a ‘female Army first lieutenant’ boarder strides in with confident steps, stealing the spotlight. Impressed by the presence of the ‘Lieutenant’ boarder who gives a razor-sharp salute, Jung Seung-je and Jung Hyung-don instinctively return the salute. Amid the unusually disciplined atmosphere, a 21-year-old boarder full of girlish charm joins. However, contrary to her youthful appearance, she surprises everyone by revealing that she is a ‘capable’ proprietor currently running her own shop.

Right on time for ‘Kimjang Day’, all the house members begin the kimchi-making work. As the ‘new boarders’ and ‘long-term boarder’ Min-seo move in perfect coordination, Jung Seung-je and Jung Hyung-don shower them with praise, saying, “Working quietly and doing great~”. By contrast, seeing Dong-hyun, the ‘grasshopper’ boarder, taking it easy, they fire off blunt remarks: “He is really slacking off.” Dong-hyun, who drew attention as a Harvard Mathematics graduate, cheekily says, “Please give me some work, too,” even after Jung Seung-je points it out. Jung Seung-je heightens the tension with a firm admonition: “Work is something you figure out and seek out yourself!”
