Jin of BTS was selected as No. 1 in the Brightest Star of 2026 (Byeongo Year) ranking.

In the Idol Chart survey ‘Brightest Star of 2026 (Byeongo Year)’, held from December 29 to January 4, Jin earned 10,760 votes to take first place.

Second place went to Eun Ga-eun with 4,075 votes. The tally then listed Young Tak (1,070 votes), IU (382 votes), Shin Yu (110 votes), and Unhak (91 votes).

Jin has been demonstrating steady popularity, including holding first place for 32 consecutive weeks in the Idol Pick weekly poll. BTS will make a full-group comeback on March 20 this year, returning to activities after 3 years and 9 months.

The comeback date was first revealed through a handwritten letter BTS recently sent to ARMY, the fandom name. To mark the new year, they delivered handwritten letters to the homes of fans. While expressing gratitude to fans who stayed by their side, they also wrote the date ‘2026.03.20’ on the paper, offering a hint about the comeback day.
