‘The 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit’ will kick off in grand style at the Taipei Dome today (the 10th) at 6:30 p.m. (KST).
Befitting its 40th anniversary, top-tier artists including LE SSERAFIM, Stray Kids, IVE, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, and Jennie will all take part. The presenter lineup also adds heft, with Hallyu stars such as Song Joong-Ki, Byeon Woo-Seok, Ahn Hyo-Seop, and Hsu Kuang-Han joining in force.
As the seventh overseas hosting of the Golden Disc, the event demonstrated explosive local interest by selling out all 35,000 seats the moment tickets opened. In particular, anticipation is high for a special stage where juniors reinterpret the signature songs of figures selected for ‘Golden Disc Powerhouse 40’, which have left a mark on the history of Korean popular music.
The ceremony will be broadcast live via Naver Chzzk (domestic) and Prism (global).
