Actor Son Tae-young revealed the behind-the-scenes of the press conference where Kwon Sang-woo announced their marriage.

On the 10th, the YouTube channel ‘Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young’ uploaded a video titled ‘The epic event husband Kwon Sang-woo staged for Son Tae-young during her first live broadcast’.

In the video, when asked about her ideal type, Son Tae-young answered “Kwon Sang-woo” without a moment of hesitation. She continued, “What can I do, we have to live together for a long time,” and added, “He is my ideal type. Not the big, round-eyed, strikingly handsome type; I liked a softer look, and when we met, he was very kind.”

Son Tae-young recalled, “He was more innocent than I expected, and back then he listened well,” and “He came to the front of my house every day, and we went on many car dates. My husband was living with his mother, so when we went over, his mother was there. So the three of us always went on dates together. She made us lots of delicious food, and every day the three of us sat on the sofa and watched TV.”

As dating rumors surfaced, the two announced their marriage through a press conference, saying, “If it were now, it is a time when you could just get married, but back then society was conservative, so we agonized in our own way,” and “I received many malicious comments and was heavily criticized. I agonized over whether to say anything about (the pregnancy news).”

Son Tae-young explained the reason for hiding the premarital pregnancy at the time, saying, “We were hearing too many negative things, so if we talked about this as well, it felt like we would hear many people say our love was ‘because of the baby’.”

She added, “We decided that only my husband would attend the press conference. That is how we got through it well. Because we were solid, we were able to overcome it and get through it.”
