‘The 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit’ capture

Global artist JENNIE, following her Grand Prize win, dominated the awards ceremony with an overwhelming performance.

On the 10th at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan, at the ‘40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit’, JENNIE delivered a distinctive performance to close the show and had the honor of taking three awards in total, including the ‘Grand Prize (Artist)’.

On the red carpet held before the stage, JENNIE appeared in red styling evocative of ‘Ruby itself’, instantly drawing eyes, and completed a singular mood by exuding visuals befitting a ‘Queen’ and her uniquely unrivaled aura.

That day, with her first solo full-length album ‘Ruby’(Ruby), JENNIE took a total of three awards the ‘Main Prize in the Digital Music category’, the ‘Global Impact Awards with PRISM’, and the ‘Grand Prize (Artist)’ once again proving her stature as a singular solo artist. In addition, with BLACKPINK’s digital single ‘Jump(JUMP)’, she received the ‘Main Prize in the Digital Music category’, achieving results in both her solo and group activities.

Alongside the prestigious wins, JENNIE presented performances of ‘Filter’(Filter), ‘Damn Right (feat. Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis)’(Damn Right), and ‘like JENNIE’(like JENNIE), showcasing a broad musical spectrum through arrangements that vividly highlighted the character of each stage, and splendidly brought the ceremony to a close with the final performance.

First, in the ‘Filter’ stage, she opened the set by building her own atmosphere with artistic expression together with the dancers. Then, in ‘Damn Right (feat. Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis)’, she delivered an easygoing groove that made it impossible to look away.

Finally, with ‘like JENNIE’, the intensified beat and powerful performance, enhanced by the arrangement, pushed the on-site atmosphere to its peak. With a differentiated stage of overwhelming scale alongside a mega crew, JENNIE suffused the venue with feverish excitement.

Upon receiving the ‘Grand Prize (Artist)’, JENNIE said, “This year marks the 10th anniversary of my debut, and I am happy because it feels like by running this hard I have gotten closer to my dream. I want to extend boundless love and thanks to all the fans. I will continue to be JENNIE who makes great music,” conveying heartfelt gratitude to her fans.

Over the past year, JENNIE consistently made her mark on prestigious global stages beyond Korea, solidifying her footing as a global solo artist. Having engraved her own identity across music, performance, and style to successfully close out the year, anticipation is building over what new moves she will make this year to lead a new current in K-pop.

Meanwhile, from the 16th to the 29th, for about two weeks, JENNIE will hold her first photo exhibition, ‘JENNIE PHOTO EXHIBITION ‘J2NNI5’’ at Youthquake in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
