Kwon Min-a, a former member of AOA who was rescued following an attempted suicide, shared an update on her condition.

On the 11th, Kwon reactivated her Instagram account and stated, “I returned to let those who are still sending messages of support know about my situation.”

First, regarding the cancellation of the fan meeting that had been scheduled for this month, she said, “It was a decision by my agency that prioritized my health and recovery,” adding, “I am sorry that I could not spend a good time with the fans who waited. Refunds for the fan meeting are proceeding normally, and if I recover in the future, I will make efforts so we can meet again.”

About her situation after the suicide attempt, Kwon said, “I am not yet fully recovered physically or mentally, but please don’t worry and just watch over me,” and added, “I will pull myself together and work to show you a brighter and healthier side of me again.”

On legal action regarding malicious comments and the spread of false information, she said, “I was told that, procedurally, I should first file a criminal complaint, but honestly I don’t have the presence of mind or the energy to do that,” while adding, “I am separately collecting content that causes harm. If it becomes too much to handle, I will consider responding, so please refrain from speculative criticism and indiscriminate comments.”

She continued, “I understand if you dislike me or don’t want to see me, but please just switch off your interest and don’t look me up.” She appealed, “Careless remarks become deep wounds to me right now,” and added, “I don’t want a situation where we make each other struggle more.” At the same time, she said she would reflect on herself and correct herself so as not to cause further fatigue or shock through emotional outbursts or extreme displays on social media.

Meanwhile, Kwon Min-a debuted in 2012 with the group AOA and left the team in 2019. On the 1st, she posted on her social media, “Goodbye. And I am sorry,” and attempted suicide, before being rescued in an emergency. She had been scheduled to hold ‘Kwon Min-a 1st Fan Meeting in SEOUL’ in Seoul on the 23rd, but the event was canceled.
