Danielle, a member of the group NewJeans who has begun the process of terminating her exclusive contract, is drawing attention amid speculation that she has opened a Chinese social media account.

On the 15th, an account that appears to have been opened by Danielle appeared on the Chinese social media platform ‘Xiaohongshu’. Even without any posts, the number of followers rose quickly right after it was created, and more than 110,000 are now following it. Attention grew as the fact that Olivia Marsh, Danielle older sister and a singer, followed the account spread on SNS X.

This has fueled speculation on SNS X and in online communities that Danielle may expand her activities to the Chinese market.

Earlier, on the 12th, Danielle opened an Instagram account and held a live broadcast at 7 p.m. that same day. On the broadcast, she said, “I fought to the end to be together with the members,” and, “NewJeans is always in a corner of my heart. Even if we are in slightly different places, I will support as one Bunnies with the same heart.”

Meanwhile, after receiving notice from ADOR of the termination of her exclusive contract, Danielle has also become embroiled in a large damages lawsuit. ADOR has filed a damages claim of about 43.1 billion won against Danielle, her mother, and former CEO Min, stating, “We determined that it would be difficult to continue together with Danielle as a NewJeans member and an artist under ADOR.”
