‘I Am SOLO’ 28th-class Young-cheol made a surprise proposal gift to 28th-class Young-ja, who will soon become his wife.
On the 16th, the YouTube channel ‘Chonjang Entertainment TV’ uploaded a video titled ‘[Chonjangjeon] What is the last gift before marriage that 28th-class Young-cheol gives to Young-ja? //ep15’.
In the video, the ‘I Am SOLO’ 28th-class couple Young-cheol and Young-ja overcame the hurdles of long distance and being divorced single parents, and decided to marry upon news of a pregnancy. They said they experienced a missed miscarriage, but are recovering from the pain and are preparing for marriage again.
The producers focused on Young-ja’s hand looking bare without a ring ahead of the wedding, and Young-ja said, “I also play the piano, and I usually do not wear rings.” Young-cheol likewise explained, “I have not given a proposal gift. I said I would buy what she wants.”
He then said, “I gave the entire appearance fee from (‘I Am SOLO’) to Young-ja,” and Young-ja smiled, saying, “That is right. I received twice the appearance fee.” Young-cheol confessed, “I went there to find my woman, so it did not feel right to get paid on top of that. I thought I did not need to take it, so I decided to give it for Young-ja.”
He also drew attention by gifting an imported car as a proposal gift for Young-ja. Young-cheol said, “I was trying to get a home somehow, but Young-ja strongly dissuaded me. I was so grateful for that that I said instead, then, ‘Shall I buy you a car,’ and she said, ‘That sounds good.’”
Young-ja expressed her gratitude, saying, “It is not easy to meet someone who does this for me. It is also good simply to express something to someone after the age of forty.”
Meanwhile, in the 28th-class Divorced Singles special of ‘I Am SOLO’, four couplesSang-cheol·Jung-suk, Gwang-su·Jung-hee, Young-cheol·Young-ja, and Young-ho·Ok-soonare still dating. Sang-cheol and Jung-suk held their wedding on December 28 last year and became a married couple, and Young-cheol and Young-ja are scheduled to hold their wedding on January 17.
