Joycity will conduct a global closed beta test for its new soccer game ‘Freestyle Football 2’ starting on the 30th.
‘Freestyle Football 2’ is the next installment that succeeds the flagship IP of Joycity, the ‘Freestyle’ series, and is being developed with a target of an official launch in the first half of 2026.
The game adopts a one player, one character control approach, maximizing the fun of 5v5 online team sports action centered on team play and strategic pass build-up.
In particular, it departs from a structure in which outcomes are decided by stat values, establishing a fair competitive environment where matches are determined solely by player skill and tactics that combine passing, shooting, and defending techniques and skills.
This test will run from the 30th to February 2 on the console platforms Xbox and PlayStation, evaluating core gameplay elements such as match stability, character balance, and control feel for users worldwide.
During the test period, Joycity will provide various benefits to users. First, all users who participate in the test will receive a limited-edition item and one icon that can be used after the official launch of ‘Freestyle Football 2’.
In addition, various events will be held through the official Discord and social media channels, and feedback from users will be collected through the user community during the test period.
