tvN ‘Spring Fever’ broadcast capture
The big picture for actor Cha Seo-Won has begun to emerge.
With an unpredictable storyline that heightens tension, in the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Spring Fever’ (directed by Park Won-Guk / written by Kim Ah-Jeong / planned by CJ ENM STUDIOS / produced by Bon Factory), Cha Seo-Won, who plays the elite attorney ‘Choi I-Jun’, drew attention by delivering brainy performance befitting the role.
In ‘Spring Fever’ episodes 5-6, the past of Seon Jae-Gyu (Ahn Bo-Hyun) and I-Jun, and the story of I-Jun opening a law office in his hometown, were depicted. During their school days, Seon Jae-Gyu protected I-Jun from school violence, and I-Jun followed him to the port where Jae-Gyu worked, looking after Han-Gyeol in his stead while teaching him. Their warm cooperation as they relied on each other contrasted with how they now live like adversaries, further raising curiosity about what incident came between them.
After receiving a special mission from Jeong Nan-Hee (Na Young-Hee) to restore his relationship with Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-Bin), I-Jun went down to Sinsu-eup, opened a law office, and in earnest began staying by Yoon Bom. Although he said that if anything unfair happened she could make use of him at any time, and that if the request was from Yoon Bom he would take it on without question, contrary to his intent Yoon Bom asked him to handle the assault case involving Seon Jae-Gyu. In response, I-Jun set aside past resentment toward Jae-Gyu and, as an attorney, helped draft a settlement, bringing the case to a smooth close.
While he can at times appear cold due to cool and composed judgment, Cha Seo-Won reveals warmth toward those around him, adding dimensional nuance to the character. With steady acting that shows different faces according to the situation, he increases the plausibility of the character, and as one pillar of the narrative within the drama, attention is gathering on his forthcoming choices and actions.
The tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Spring Fever’ starring Cha Seo-Won airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.
