Young-cheol from Season 9 of ‘I Am Solo’ shared a surprise update.
On the 23rd, the KBS 2TV variety show “New Release Pyeonstorang” (hereafter “Pyeonstorang”) featured Lee Yeon-bok, Boom, and Hyojung visiting a company cafeteria to personally serve food and check reactions to newly launched menu items.
That day, the three MCs visited one of the cafeterias operated by a food company that is rolling out “Pyeonstorang” winning menus. At that in-house cafeteria, the “Pyeonstorang” winning menus were piloted as lunch offerings.
The three MCs handled lunch service for about 1,500 portions, from Lee Chan-won’s “Ssamjang Sesame-Mayo King Donkatsu” and Lee Jung-hyun’s “Green Onion Cream Pasta” to Lee Chan-won’s “Dogani Yukgaejang”. After the serving concluded, Boom appeared in the middle of the cafeteria and amped up the mood by singing “Next-Door Oppa”, and singer Hwang Garam also made a surprise appearance to perform a live stage of “I Am a Firefly”.
Leading the cafeteria lunch show, Boom asked anyone who had something to celebrate recently to raise a hand. One employee raised his hand and stepped forward. He introduced himself, “I went on a dating program three years ago. It was called ‘I Am Solo’.” Boom said, “Season 9, right? Young-cheol from Season 9. Did you not get heavily criticized back then?”
He added an update, “Not a cast member, but I met the other half of my life and got married.”
Meanwhile, Young-cheol from Season 9 appeared on “I Am Solo” aired in 2022, revealing that he graduated from Y University’s law department and was employed at major company H, and he announced his marriage via his social media on September 27 last year.
