Actor Bae Yoon-kyung will appear in ‘Baby Daddy Is a Guy Friend’.

Set to premiere on February 4, ‘Baby Daddy Is a Guy Friend’ is a madcap romantic-comedy short drama about a guy friend and a girl friend who are neither dating nor married but co-parent together. Exclusively released on the vertical short-drama platform ‘Lezhin Snack’ operated by Lezhin Entertainment, the project is drawing attention with director Lee Byung-heon, who helmed the film ‘Extreme Job’ and the drama ‘Be Melodramatic’, participating as both writer and director.

In the drama, Bae Yoon-kyung plays the role of ‘Kyung-a’, the wife of Yeong-gi (played by Park Ji-an). She appears poised and refined on the surface, but when a relationship starts to crack, she does not hesitate to make choices where emotion, desire, and calculation are intertwined. Through ‘Kyung-a’, who drives the central tension with her unpredictable moves, Bae is set to showcase a distinctive allure born of shifting emotional temperatures.

Recently, in the stage play ‘Visitation’, which has just closed, Bae Yoon-kyung filled the production with a densely layered performance that left a deep resonance with audiences. Despite it being her first attempt at theater, she added depth by delicately portraying the complex inner world of a lifer, proving a wide acting spectrum. In addition, she has been confirmed for the AI hybrid film ‘Genfluencer’, signaling a bold transformation as she takes on a dual role, portraying both the protagonist ‘Lee Jin’ and the AI ‘Gina’. Expectations are rising for Bae Yoon-kyung’s continued prolific run as she showcases ever more diverse sides.
