‘Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ saw Jun Hyun-mooGwakTube embark on a food trip with ‘food buddy’ Han Ji-eun, delivering solid tips and fun as they unearthed hidden eateries in Gwangyang, the ‘paradise of gastronomy’.

In episode 15 of the full-fledged real curbside foodcumentary ‘Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ (co-produced by MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband), aired on the 23rd (Fri), Jun Hyun-mooGwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) and ‘unexpected big eater’ Han Ji-eun set off on a food trip in Gwangyang, South Jeolla. They uncovered the show’s first dedicated jaecheop restaurant and, following a braised cutlassfish·grilled fish spot, even nailed the ‘real’ Gwangyang bulgogi, squarely pressing viewers’ appetite buttons.

That day, GwakTube mentioned Jun Hyun-moo’s ‘Entertainment Awards’ win and offered congratulations. Jun Hyun-moo modestly replied, “Of all the awards I have received in my life, this was the most unexpected.” Then GwakTube shared a string of happy news: “Our writer and PD are dating at work, and the writer, the audio director, and the camera operator are all getting married soon,” to which Jun Hyun-moo lamented, “Four couples? Ha... I will go crazy. Maybe this show is sharing out all of my dating luck,” drawing bittersweet laughter. Regaining focus, Jun Hyun-moo said, “Since we have come to Gwangyang, one of the representative cities of South Jeolla, let us make the first meal jaecheop soup,” and took GwakTube to a 55-year ‘jaecheop specialty restaurant’. There, the two received a Jeolla-style spread with a full set from jaecheop hoe to soup and exclaimed, “This is a delicacy!”

Next, Jun Hyun-moo said, “Now let us go meet the ‘food buddy’. Today’s ‘food buddy’ is an actress who calls herself ‘dol+I’,” dropping a hint, and the actress who soon appeared was Han Ji-eun. Han Ji-eun said with a cool laugh, “I hear the term ‘dol+I’ a lot,” and Jun Hyun-moo added to the laughter by “testifying,” “We recently bumped into each other and played pickleball together about three times, and I felt that vibe when I saw her trying to win by doing the splits.” Afterward, the three headed to a local-only braised cutlassfish·grilled fish spot and started a mukbang. The ‘unexpected big eater’ Han Ji-eun, who says she can eat ‘up to six hamburgers’, took a bite of grilled bakdae and said, “It is so good. I think I have to start over,” deftly picking the fish meat, and Jun Hyun-moo immediately filmed her mukbang, lavishly praising, “Beautiful. That is the life shot~.”

After the cheerful mukbang, Jun Hyun-moo finally suggested going for ‘Gwangyang bulgogi’. Even though she had just finished a meal, Han Ji-eun responded with applause, and the three sought out a ‘70-year tradition’ locals’ favorite located in an old-school neighborhood instead of the famous alley. At the restaurant, Han Ji-eun took out books she had prepared for the two. She said, “Because Jun-bin has been through ups and downs,” and gifted him ‘Meditations’, and handed Jun Hyun-moo a book titled ‘Dark Psychology’, saying, “You are sensitive to trends~.” Jun Hyun-moo quipped, “Are you giving it to me because I am dark? Or because the situation is dark?” making everyone roar with laughter.

A little later, the trio grilled Gwangyang bulgogi over a charcoal brazier, pairing it with pickled maesil and scallion kimchi, and burst into applause. Jun Hyun-moo marveled, “Number one among all bulgogi! It is less famous than its taste.” He then asked, “I am the type who recharges at home; how about you, Ji-eun?” Han Ji-eun answered, “I also need time alone,” and GwakTube echoed, “I have turned my alone time into gaming.” Jun Hyun-moo then kicked off some ‘newlywed teasing’ with, “Alone time? You do not have that anymore,” and, sensing danger, GwakTube made a ‘quick’ patch: “I am so happy. I do not need alone time anymore.” Even so, Jun Hyun-moo pushed a second time: “You play games when you have a wife?” and Han Ji-eun shielded him with, “It is better than doing something misguided somewhere,” drawing laughs.

As the mood heated up, Jun Hyun-moo brought up college days, saying to Han Ji-eun, “I heard your classmates were a ‘dream team’, especially when you went on group dates.” Han Ji-eun did a self-expos: “I was classmates with Jeon So-min, Jeon Yeo-been, and Lee Joo-bin,” and “Somin and I were the dream team for group dates, and after the dates Somin used to be jealous of me.” When the topic of group dates came up, Jun Hyun-moo recalled those days: “I also went on them from time to time, and I would take out the latest pager as a personal item to flaunt my means.” But he confessed, “One day, after a ‘2;2 meeting’, I wrote my pager number on a note and gave it (to a woman), and I saw her throw that note away on the roadside after we parted,” eliciting bittersweet sympathy.

With the Gwangyang food trip gently wrapping up alongside reminiscences, the following teaser captured Jun Hyun-moo and GwakTube’s food trip to Yeosu, the ‘city of romance’, raising anticipation for the next episode.
