SBS ‘Starting Today, I Am Human’ broadcast screen

The fates of Lomon and Jang Dong-joo in ‘Starting Today, I Am Human’ were reversed.

In episode 3 of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Starting Today, I Am Human,’ aired on the 23rd, Kang Si-yeol (Lomon) commissioned a wish for Hyun Woo-seok (Jang Dong-joo) and paid a harsh price. The ratings peaked at 3.6%. (Nielsen Korea standard)

After hearing that his club ‘Tems FC’ would be relegated to the second division, Kang Si-yeol visited the grave of his grandmother Kim Bok-soon (Cha Mi-kyung) before returning to England, where he happened to meet Hyun Woo-seok again. There, he found the wish business card left by Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon), and he thought it was the very moment to borrow the power of Eun-ho.

Soon after Kang Si-yeol asked Eun-ho to grant the wish, he received a call from agent Hong Yeon-su (Hong Soo-hyun) that a club transfer had become possible. Hyun Woo-seok embraced the expectation and hope that he could change his failed life as a footballer. However, Eun-ho drew a firm line, saying Hyun Woo-seok had nothing valuable enough to serve as the price for a wish.

Kang Si-yeol said he would pay the cost of the wish instead, but Eun-ho said this was no different from the ‘good deed’ of yielding a wish and could not accept it. Annoyed, Kang Si-yeol pricked her pride by seeming to doubt her ability, and Eun-ho warned, “I decide how to grant the wish in your place. Of course, you are the one who pays the price.”

Then, while Hyun Woo-seok became a successful footballer as he wished, Kang Si-yeol fell from ‘world-class’ to a ‘washout’. When Kang Si-yeol demanded an explanation, Eun-ho explained that the only way to return to the original state was for Hyun Woo-seok to make another wish.

Meanwhile, Eun-ho learned that the ‘Mokjangdo’ on display at the museum had disappeared. It was a special sword made for Geum-ho (Lee Si-woo), a gumiho who had once become human, a sacred object that could even threaten the life of Eun-ho.

The person who had obtained the Mokjangdo of Eun-ho was the ‘shaman’ Jang Do-cheol (Kim Tae-woo), who handed a warding talisman to Lee Yoon (Choi Seung-yoon), whom he first met in prison, to prevent the sorcery of Eun-ho from working, and planned a joint scheme of ‘evil’ timed to the release of Lee.

Episode 4 of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Starting Today, I Am Human’ will air tonight (24th) at 9:50 p.m.
