TWICE Dahyun has successfully established her presence as an actor, heightening expectations for her future acting work.

In February 2025, Dahyun made her acting debut through the film ‘Those Days, The Girl We Liked’ (directed by Cho Young-myung). By September, with the film ‘Full Speed’ (directed by Lee Seung-hoon), she left a strong impression as a noteworthy rookie, then broadened her activities to the small screen at the end of the same year, captivating viewers with more mature expressiveness and emotion.

In the JTBC drama ‘Love Me’ (directed by Jo Young-min, written by Park Eun-young·Park Hee-kwon, produced by SLL·How Pictures), which concluded in January this year, Dahyun played ‘Ji Hye-on,’ a character who climbs step by step to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer, naturally capturing the image of today’s youth. She revealed a delicate inner life that appeared quiet yet was never monotonous, and she gently unfolded a romance after belatedly realizing she had a crush on a friend, feeling both flutter and ache as she held her feelings, adding stability to the narrative.

To portray ‘Ji Hye-on’ well, Dahyun made every effort. Believing that truly understanding the character’s job as a ‘publishing house editor’ was essential to her performance, she met with a real editor, discussed the work, and researched detailed aspects such as daily routines and attire so that many could relate. Her signature gentle voice infused the character ‘Ji Hye-on’ with warmth. She delivered resonant lines like “When alone, I feel lonely because I am alone; when together, I feel lonely fearing I might end up alone. Even in poverty, lonely; even in wealth, lonely. What is as fair as loneliness?” as if tossing them out with ease, comforting viewers and completing a ‘Ji Hye-on’ imbued with Dahyun’s zeal.

Dahyun also drew attention with strong performances in earlier works. As ‘Seon-a’ in the film ‘Those Days, The Girl We Liked,’ she portrayed not only the universally admired ‘first-love girl’ but also the adult ‘Seon-a,’ leaving lingering emotion with a rich range from fluttering smiles to poignant tears. As ‘Im Ji-eun’ in the film ‘Full Speed,’ she studied the character and reflected real-life experiences to reveal the sincerity of someone who feels alive when running, demonstrating excellent character interpretation. Then in the drama ‘Love Me,’ her further enhanced line delivery and expressiveness shone, and viewers offered praise such as “I only realized much later that it was TWICE’s Dahyun; her acting was truly natural”, “The character is charming, but the comfort Dahyun creates made me look forward to her appearances”, and “Her future acting work is something to look forward to”.

From the very news of her acting challenge, Dahyun amplified expectations, and with performances that delivered even greater satisfaction, she successfully wrapped up her first year after debuting as an actor.
