The new variety show ‘Destiny War 49’, featuring comedian Park Na-rae, who halted her activities amid various controversies, is set to be unveiled.
On the 4th, a Disney+ representative told Sports Kyunghyang, “Park Na-rae will appear on ‘Destiny War 49’.”
‘Destiny War 49’ features Jun Hyun-moo, Park Ha-sun, Shindong, and Kang Ji-young, among others, including Park Na-rae. Participating as a panelist, Park Na-rae has recently become embroiled in allegations of power abuse toward her manager and suspicions of illegal medical practices by the so-called ‘injection aunt’, and she is currently on hiatus from all broadcasting activities. She could not be seen in the released teaser.
However, regarding the extent of Park Na-rae’s appearance, Disney+ said, “‘Destiny War 49’ is a survival-format variety program centered on the competitive narrative of a large cast, and Park Na-rae appears as one of many panelists,” adding, “It is difficult to speak in detail about the editing of the main episodes.”

‘Destiny War 49’ is an otherworldly survival variety show in which 49 diviners gather to test their fate through various missions. The production team, praised for ‘Black-and-White Chef: Culinary Class War’ and the ‘United We Survive’ series, has joined forces to present a ‘bizarre’ setup that sets it apart from conventional survival shows.
In the released ‘Fate’ poster, 49 diviners who have led different lives are shown gazing at a single door. Fate-related symbolic objects from East and West, such as saju, tarot, and physiognomy, are arranged to emphasize the identity of the program.
In the teaser, assignments that defy imagination appear one after another, from a mission to identify the person who was actually struck by lightning to a mission to read the fate of money. The cast members also look flustered, saying, “They set missions like this?”, signaling a development that differs in tone from existing survival variety shows.
‘Destiny War 49’ will release four episodes simultaneously on the 11th, and will then sequentially present three, two, and one episode each week.
