Actor Baek Ji-hye emerged in episode 2 of ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Honor: Their Court’ as a figure who instantly rattles the narrative board.
In episode 1, the tight-lipped ‘Seon-hwa’ entered the center of the drama by overturning the direction of the case with a single sentence. From the moment Seon-hwa first appeared before the three female lawyers, she created a subtle tension. She spoke defensively, avoided eye contact, and sidestepped questions. Outwardly passive yet seemingly aware of every danger, her attitude amplified unease from the outset.
In episode 2, when asked about the prostitution scandal that reporter Lee Jun-hyeok (played by Lee Chung-ju) had been pursuing, the moment Seon-hwa shouts, “Ask Reporter Lee directly!” changes the atmosphere at once. That single line, thrown as if in flight, becomes the decisive moment that imprints Seon-hwa not as a mere reference witness but as someone who knows the substance of the case.
She then brings up the word ‘Connect’, revealing a hidden axis of the narrative. A secret prostitution app inaccessible to ordinary people, and the fact that there was someone who knew of its existence, heighten curiosity. As a result, Seon-hwa steps from the margins into the center of the story.

Baek Ji-hye draws Seon-hwa with unexaggerated emotion and action, sculpting her sharply. Rather than displaying emotion, she saves her words, conveying anxiety through silence and glances and accumulating weight in the character. In particular, her stance of sensing danger yet refusing to cross the line to the end convincingly shows why Seon-hwa has survived until now.
With two episodes released so far, ‘Honor: Their Court’ heightens tension by focusing less on the outline of the case and more on who knows what. And at the center of that question is ‘Seon-hwa’. Viewers are focused on what ripple effects Seon-hwa, played by Baek Ji-hye, will set in motion with her choices.
The ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Honor: Their Court’ airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on ENA. It can also be watched on KT Genie TV and Coupang Play.
